We drove into KC last night to see the "Million Dollar Quartet". A broadway production of Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley, where they spent one day together at Sunny Recorders in the late 1950s. It was amazing music with all four playing their songs alone or together. I had gotten two tickets on line before we left, the cheapest in the house. Max & Peter got the top most seat on 7th floor balcony. I didn't have a ticket and the only ones left were very expenses so I opted not to go in. I took pictures of the Kauffman Center until an usher told me she had a seat for me. I was on the main floor only 8 rows from the front, no charge... so nice of her!!! Lucky the Kauffman Center is small and the balcony seats are very close to the stage so Max and Peter had a good view, too! We found a burger joint close to the theater afterward. We were squeezed in with some questionable characters but nice ones! NO hats allowed in the theater.
Ahhhh what a cool theater! And how sweet that the lady let you in for free... :). Looks like a blast!
