Last Blog spring break 2014

Today is our last day of spring break.

 This is Peter's last golfing at Boulder Creek Golf Club

We head to Las Vegas to fly out tonight.

 Home to snow and cold.

A day on the river

                                Spent the day with Jamie and Zeb, Grandmother Dianne
                                 and Zeb's Uncle & Aunt, Denny and Sharon on the
                                   Colorado River, boating, jet skiing, eating and drinking.

Jamie and I drove down to the 

State Park along the Colorado River in order to walk

through the cactus garden. The cactus blooms are just coming out.

 I hope Ellie & Kian recognize the place.

Spring break party barge on the channel. The pink color must be intentional, the college students who rented this made an intelligent decision to bring awareness to women's issues and remind the young women to due breast exams!

Visited Elaine and Gerry at Bullhead City. Wonderful visit as we caught up on the family, took a Fiesta Park tour. My favorite part was the sewing room and pool area. Then off to lunch at China Buffet and a tour of Laughlin and BC. It was so great to seem them. Next visit will be in Iowa.

GOLF!

Peter's first golfing of the season, seeing we have 10 inches of snow back home. First 18, he golfed with three guys from Minnesota, now retired down here. Today's 18 he golfed with a really nice couple from Oregon... they were traveling snowbirds in their RV and were heading to Utah after the game. They had their dog Lu Lu riding in the cart with them.  This was at the Refuge, private club in a gated community. Jamie and I rented a cart and drove all over the course checking out all the cool houses and yelling things at Peter! and doing the little clap for his good shots. We sat on the veranda in the club house drinking gin & tonics and mango margaritas!!!
